Did you know...

Brix is a measurement (in degrees) of sugar levels in an aqueous solution. Degrees Brix is used in winemaking to determine the sugar level of grape juice in its process to become wine.

 

Gruner Veltliner is the most widely planted grape in Austria and has been planted since Roman times. Grüner Veltliner often has citrus and grapefruit aromas, with a hint of the variety’s most distinguishing characteristic: the spicy fragrance of freshly ground white pepper.

 

Rioja is an appellation located in Northern Spain. Rioja sits behind the Cantabrian Mountains, which help block the vines from the fierce winds common to the region. The region is also home to the Oja River (Rio Oja), believed to have given the region its name.
